Dr. O'Connor?

Anyone out there have experience with Dr. Jeff O'Connor at St. Johns Providence in Novi, MI? Was recommended for RALP. Says he does 8 a week.

I can't help with advice about Dr. O'Conner, but you say he does 8 surgeries per week. How many weeks? I would look for someone who has done thousands of RALP procedures. You can also getting physician ratings on line that may be informative. With your age and BX, you should do great with whichever treatment you choose. Prayers for complete healing.

I don't know about Dr. O'Connor, but everything I read, and was told when I was evaluating my treatment decision, is to find the surgeon who has the most experience. You only get one chance at RP, so choose a doctor who has seen it all before, many times over. Also, find a hospital at which the surgery is done a lot.

The ultimate decision is how comfortable you feel about the doctor you choose. Make sure you trust him to do the best for you.
