A point here:
If you have had all of your erectile nerves removed as I have or they are still shocked from the surgery, you will not have 'morning wood' any more. Men normally have at least 15 minutes of erection every night which is your bodies way of preserving the function of the organ. If you go for an extended time without having an erection, scar tissue will develop in the spongiform bodies within the penis and it will no longer be able to become erect. Thus the pump.
Even if you are on Luprolides or related chems and have absolutely no desire at all, you need to use the pump if you are not having normal erections. Otherwise you will develop scar tissue and become unable to have erections. Dr, Mulhal says in "Saving Your Sex Life" that it takes about
1 & 1/2 months for the scar tissue to form sufficiently to prevent you from having erections. Time is of the essence here. Consider the daily use of the pump as a form of physical therapy - because that is precisely what it is.
Get a "personal shaver" for removing the hair from the area where the bottom of the pump makes contact. (My electric shaver was not gentle enough) Use a personal lubricant (I prefer Maximus which I obtain from Amazon) for a tight seal after shaving the area. You should use the pump for 15 minutes a day to keep the parts flexible and prevent scar tissue buildup.
The stock rings do not work for me at all, too much surrounding tissue gets trapped above the rings. I had to get an "EZ Ring", which allows me a fully functional erection without trapping my testes on the wrong side of the ring.
If your marriage has the proper foundation your spouse will stay there with you and be supportive.
open communication is very beneficial.
