Dr. David Josephson, L.A. area: Anybody used him?

Hi all,

My urologist recommends this surgeon for robot surgery if it should come to that for me. Based on just this https://www.towerurology.com/our-physicians/david-y-josephson-md-facs/ so far, he looks to be both experienced and knowledgeable.

Has anybody here used him or have useful info, pro or con?

I've seen two other surgeons in this area recommended in this forum, both of whom also look good.

Thanks Jim. I've definitely not decided on surgery vs. other options yet. The need to make that decision won't come until after my ct and bone scans. I'm just gathering info right now.

It is, however, starting to look like my urologist is going to recommend surgery if the scans are clean. If so, I'll have a lot of hard work ahead to decide what to do, including trying to keep my head while others around me are losing theirs.

Mark, yeah...it's highly likely that your urologist who was likely educated as a surgeon would recommend surgery. Many of us have seen surgery pressure (and sometimes mistruths) from our uro-surgeon. The important thing is for you to get multiple opinions and make your own educated decision. Surgery, LDR Brachy, HDR Brachy and SBRT are likely to cure you. The potential side effects, however, are quite different.
