Hi:
I have had some elevated PSA's in the past (nothing above 4 but as high as 3.9 which is high given my age of 48). Had 3T MRI (prostatitis) but never a biopsy. Recently for an incidental reason had testosterone checked and it came back markedly low....about
165 with 250 or so at this particular lab being a low normal...curious about
any link with prostatitis/prostate cancer and testosterone levels....have an apt with my MD next week and I have seen suggestions that one would not wish to have testosterone replacement in setting of prostate cancer....but don't know much else...FYI....no symptoms of low testosterone...just an incidental lab that came back low (first time ever checked)
Thanks!
