I awoke one night in December with pain I felt was coming from my kidneys, so I went online at 3AM and saw a reference to urine bubbles. Sure enough, I saw bubbles in the toilet the next time I urinated. I have no idea if these bubbles have any relationship to an open prostatectomy in 2010, and I'm sure I would have noticed the bubbles before. However, the velocity of my urine stream is much stronger after surgery and may have something to do with formation of bubbles. Now if there is one sheet of toilet paper in the toilet and nothing else, the bubbles disappear instantly. If there is no paper, the bubbles hang around for awhile before dissipating.
My VA Primary Doc ordered blood and urine labs which showed nothing unusual. These labs were followed by a CT Scan of the stomach and pelvis which was negative too. Because of the backlog at the VA Hospital, I won't meet with a urologist until April to discuss this problem. I'm just curious if anybody else is having bubbly urine and any diagnosis would be helpful.
