Good morning,
I have my pathology report and would love to get some feedback. There is so much information out there about
prostate cancer its hard to determine what is relevant to my situation and what is not. My urologist seems like a bright guy and is good about
providing information but is not as good about
putting the information in context. I guess that is what I am looking for. Thank you in advance.
-G: 3+4
-Involves less than 10% of prostate
-Involves left and right lobes R>L
-75 g (not sure if this is just the prostate or includes the seminal vesicles & Vasa Deferentia
-Size 1.2 cm
-Right anterior prostate
-Negative margins
-Negative for Perineural invasion
-Negative for Lymphvascular invasion
-Background prostate with HPIN
-Bilateral seminal vesicles and vasa deferentia negative
-results correlate with prior prostate biopsies
-Pathological staging pT2c
I had a PIRAD 3 and 4 from an MRI both in the transition zones. Cant tell from the report if one of them turned out to be the cancer. The prior biopsy found 1 core 4% of G6 in the right mid-gland.
thanks

That is a sterling report -- congratulations! What it means for you is that there were no unexpected adverse findings to worry about
.

Thank Tall Allen for your response. I really appreciate it. The "c" part of the pT2c is not a big issue?

Just means cancer was found in both lobes. BUT it was contained! All good.

It means that you're likely to have a lifetime of "<" blood tests going forward. It also means that you're buying the next round at our virtual bar. I'll have a glass of Smith's nut brown, if you please.
