Well this may seem weird...
I have been on Lupron since last June (still on it). Started to have knee pain last September. The pain only occurred when I went up or down the stairs, or getting up from a sitting position. There was no to little pain when walking on a flat surface or riding a bike or x-country skiing. Finally went to a sports medicine doctor. X-rays showed that my knee cap on both knees have moved to the outside side of my knees - like an ice cream cone that is falling over. The doctor stated that the quadricep is made up of four different muscle groups (hence the name). She is speculating that since I have been on Lupron one or more of the muscle groups has become tremendously weaker than the others, resulting in the stronger muscles pulling the kneecap way off center. She recommended physical therapy to try to strengthen these muscles while on Lupron (good luck with that!).
No doubt about it, my knee caps are not were they should be, but I do not know if I buy into the Lupron argument. Has anyone else had this issue?
