Well this certainly was the most unexpected oncologist appointment we've had since starting our journey with prostate cancer. Saw doc today for PSA results. He came in and asked hubby if he is on any type of treatment (he's not) because his PSA came back as undetectable - less than .02. Keep in mind his PSA from February 20 was at 3.9. For about three seconds, we all looked at each other and had the faintest thought of "miracle," then we came back from fantasy land and realized there was definitely a mix up. Sad part is the possibility of someone getting a high PSA result that was expecting the .02. We were thinking it would be around 5.4, which would have been consistent with hubby's increases. So another test is scheduled in two weeks. If it comes back in the 5+ range, then we'll continue on as planned. If it comes back at .02, hubby becomes a walking science experiment and case study. PSA tests are stressful enough. This one had us just sitting in a corner shaking our heads.
