I have a potentially silly question but wanted to check it out with you guys. I am assuming that sex (having an orgasm) does not have an impact on PSA readings post RALP as it does when one has a prostate. I have my first post PSA following a RALP and have recently engaged in sexual behavior. Thank for any info.

with no prostate, it's no longer an issue.

Congratulations that you have already returned to sexual exercises.
Technically it is when a man ejaculates that the PSA level in the blood can rise a little, that can not happen without a prostate. An orgasm sensation happens in the brain and has no relation to the prostate.

This explains the difference. Someone asked if orgasm was different for me now. It is. My efforts to verbally explain it fell short. Before the operation....an orgasm would change my mood more. The after-effects of relaxation and being "reunited as one with myself" lingered much longer, and the time frame of that lingering after effect has been significantly reduced....if not eliminated. It's more of a "mental exercise" now. An abstraction of pleasure...rather than the all enveloping physical, mental, and emotional reunification that it was before the operation.

@raypaul....I've wondered the same thing. I figured I knew the answer but wasn't 100% sure. I guess I'm now "comfortably" sure.

IT, I bet if we surveyed the RALP guys in here who are sexually functional, we'd get a gamut of responses about how it is different now.

For me, it's different, and better. More intense. It feels like (I think) what some women say about the "whole body" experience. Others report much less so. YMMV is the term to use.
