Hi All,

This month is 2 years since my surgery. Had Chemo after that then radiation. The last thing was the Hormone therapy, which I had the final dose April 25.

The HT has worn me down. Loss of muscle, weight gain, man boobs, and very fatigued.

Just wondering when the energy returns?

Also, still leaky....3 pads per day, MO suggested going back to the URO for a repair of urinary sphincter.

Lastly, still have a bowel problem about once a week, about 20 seconds warning and bombs away.

Just wondering if anyone had these issues improve over time.

Can't answer your question, due to,lack of experience with your treatment, but just want to wish you well and more important, bump this up in hopes that you might get some responses.

Congrats on the undetectable! Sorry to hear that you are experiencing bad SE's. I don't have any answers either and i hope you dont mind but i do have a question about your treatment. I was just wondering how come you had Chemo along with Radiation and HT? I'm pretty new to all this as you can see in my sig. but i thought that usually with a BCR its just Radiation.

With radiation I had just a bit of diarrhea, maybe once or twice during treatment. I had a couple of bowel issues maybe a month after but that's it. My primary side effect was tiredness.

Lupron was another story . Ugh. cry My six month injection 'ended' along with radiation therapy end of 2015. By March 2016 my T returned and along with the T a bunch of energy but I was still suffering from the usual SEs.

It took months and months, maybe a full year before I felt like my old self.

You've had a rough couple of years. Your treatment seems fairly aggressive. Was it because you had positive margins? Otherwise, it looks like your PSA was going down prior to chemo.

I'd have thought your continence would be better by now.

Sounds like you're turning a corner. Hope your side effects can be dealt with. Good luck.

Thanks for the kind words.....Funny how the treatments go....I know everyone is different, but for me....Surgery...piece of cake....Chemo...not too bad.....Radiation....semi-tolerable.....Lupron....really took the wind out of my sails. But, I'm still here and that's what counts!!!

CLDCR, Sorry to hear about your continuing issues but you are doing great on the PSA. Hoping that you find something that offers you comfort with the side effects.
