I've now, officially, joined the five-year club!
The results from this morning's PSA test just came through and I'm still showing zeroes 60 months out from the end of salvage radiation. I'm down to annual visits to the Uro and he's left it up to me whether I test every six months or every 12.
As for side effects this far out, my life is relatively normal and Alprostadil and one pad a day "just in case" are small inconveniences on this side of treatment and this far down the road.
I know the magnitude of the situations represented on this forum is wide-ranging and I have the greatest respect and empathy for those who are laboring through the uncertainties of a new diagnosis or the long-term challenges of extended illness. Regardless of our individual circumstances, we can all be encouragers to one another along the way and for that I'm grateful.
Blessings to all of you guys, your SOs and your families.
