It was one year ago today I found out I had pca. It has changed my life in ways I never dreamed possible. From the shear panic of the first weeks, to the slow acceptance of learning to deal with it. Through out it all this forum has been very instrumental in helping deal with my new life. So I just wanted to take a moment to say thanks for all your help and support. The good Lord willing and the creek don't rise I will be on here for many years to come and be able to help others as you have helped me.

Ron,we are all in the same boat in one way or another.I feel blessed that I found this great group of people. HW changed my life in more ways than one. This site gave me knowledge and options that I would of never realized. There are so many people to thank,so thank you all .For a knee jerk reaction of just get it out, to understanding that we can do it other ways. I would have never knew of this until i stumbled upon HW. Thanks to Tall Allen for taking time ,always,to help and being there for us and thanks to you all for your imput that made this journey easier to navigate.Bless you all . Amen

You had a prostatectomy done at MD Anderson after they determined that the cancer had already metastasized to your bones?

Yes Debbie I did as part of the M! Clinical trial. It is a clinical trial to see if localized treatment of the prostate either by surgery about radiation will help slow down the metastases. They seem to think you can add as much is a year to 18 months on your hormone therapy before it goes castrate.
