It took 14 days for me to find out the biopsy results, which kept us on pins and needles, but because I am in a clinical study others had to have control of the samples. But today I got the great news: Doc said they "got it all", no evidence of it traveling out of the prostate.
Interestingly, the first Gleason score of my biopsy prior to surgery was a 4+4 at the local hospital's, then Dr. Epstein reduced it to a 4+3 which really cheered me up. However, the 3 urologists I was dealing with, and two are very heavy hitters, told me they would treat me like an 8. That was because I was so "borderline" and the RP biopsy roved them right.
I was told it was a high grade aggressive cancer they found but it was less than 5% of the prostate. So all-in-all it feels great knowing it's OUT OF ME!
(Sorry, I don't know what happened to the signatures today)
