Newest member signing aboard after my JHU second opinion I received today. I went from 2 4+4 cores (and 8 3+4) to 4 4+5 and 1 4+5 and 5 3+4. Full details at a new post made today. Bummer, but it is what it is.
I'll continue to take it one day at a time.
Sorry you joined. Are your Docs sending you for a scan before IMRT?
Just got the JHU pathology report faxed to me this afternoon after calling and asking "how do I get it" when I saw the JHU claim in my online Aetna account -- they had it since 6/11/2018 and didn't contact me, disappointing to say the least.
I'm not sure RO has seen report yet, he was out of the country today when I called. The pathology fax was sent after I contacted the UR nurse case manager asking about
the report.
As to scan, I had a CT bone scan after the biopsy, which was clear. But I'm now going to ask about
other "better" scan being warranted. I'm at my out of pocket maximum, so I'm all for tests that serve a purpose. Also, I had a 3T mpMRI (Feb 2018) before the biopsy, and based on that UR was confident PCa was still contained within the prostate.
I had been in a "lull" of playing my role of leading advocate while waiting out the period from start of ADT to start of radiation, but after the new report, I'm stepping up activity again.
