We had the first campfire last night. Some people were up well into the night while others went to be at 9:00. That's GFMPH!

Everything is ready for the day's activities. It's so peaceful here at 5:30 AM.

There's plenty of room for you. Come on over!

If you look under Worried Guy’s name in his posts, there are 2 boxes. One is an envelope for email. In a previous post, he said he would send directions by email. Give it a shot. Email him.

Report from last night. Great dinner wonderful conversations, and Martini Tasting for those that wanted to participate. After tasting a great fireworks display and a warm fire. Rain put an early end to the outdoor activities at 11 PM. This morning some are headed out to explore the town and the Apple Festival. We will have lunch provided here for those that just want to hangout at the event. Business meeting is this afternoon. Big dinner planed for tonight.

This is such a wonderful even. Renewing friendships and making new one.

We did a late-night mini tasting, as there was a bottle of scotch that had needed to be open. It didn't get good feedback last year. So now a year later, it has calmed down, and is nice.

What a great time! Last night at the campfire we saw a nice Iridium flare while enjoying the beverages of our choice.
Most folks have moved out but there are still 8 using the facilities.
Four are heading out today and (too) soon it will be quiet in the house.
We'll miss you all!

We had a great time! We stayed up very late after the whisky tasting, enjoying conversation around the campfire. Sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to everyone, as we left for home straight from the hotel Sunday morning.

Worried Guy - as always, thanks for hosting this. It is indeed a very special event. The almost instant brotherhood new folks find when attending one of these is a unique characteristic of this group. We look forward to seeing people we know, and meeting new people at every one of them.

Until spring, then!

Special thanks to our wonderful host. We got a chance to say our goodbyes to all but the last 4 people. Started up the CIA h and rolled east to our next destination. Pat and I talked most of the way about how nice it was to get to know the new attendees and being with our friends. There is nothing like it.

Thanks again to the fantastic hosts.

Another great get-together, and a great testament to both the hosts and the guests. Such cool people. Worried Guy and Worried Gal, thanks for once again being such great hosts. It couldn’t have been done any better.

Arrived home last night, a little later than expected as my cell phone decided to die as I was trying to arrange a car at the airport.

Trip was more eventful than I hoped, as I got searched with a lot of extra attention at TSA security. Good thing I was showered and in clean clothes. Amazing what they want to make out of the visual from a scan of a folding cane, a partial box of cigars, some parmesan cheese, and a few pee-pads (new in wrapper, at least before the search). Too many cigars left over after Saturday night. Guess my brother in law will get an unexpected holiday box.

Oh well, that's why I go early, TSA pre-check or not.

Some good news - I had an extraordinarily cryptic set of paperwork from Social Security. After a half hour on the phone with them, it turns out that my disability has been medically APPROVED!! But no $ value set on it yet, and that could take months.

The trip was great. It was especially good to have new guys join us, and I hope some of those who were on the fence this time will come on out for the next.

And our hosts were their usually outstanding selves. I'm sure they are breathing easier now that the crowd has thinned out. But we did burn up a couple of cords of firewood. Maybe Jeff will slow down from overdrive to full-speed!!

As one of those new guys, I would encourage others to make the effort to attend a GFMPH. You will find value in the candid one on one discussions, plenty of fun and jokes, and of course many new friendships. Thanks to everyone I met this weekend, and to the generosity of our hosts especially. It's no small task to plan or to open up your home to so many. Jim, I owe you for the cigar but I'm still on the fence about the peaty Scotch stuff. tongue

It's Tuesday evening. Our last guests just headed out leaving with us empty hearts, a refrigerator full of leftovers, and more coffee creamer than in the entire country of Jamaica.

Thank you all so much for coming! We feel honored that you made the effort and took the time to head to our little corner of the world.
From the comments, emails, and hugs I know you had a great time, learned, made some friends, and maybe made some decisions about your next steps on the journey we all travel.
That's what these gatherings are all about. They're definitely Good For Men's Prostate Health.

We'll be here next year so mark your calendars.

Well, things are getting back to normal around here.
Broken chairs have been dragged out to the curb; trash is ready for pick up; aluminum foil and trays are all flattened for recycling; and bottles and cans are in the appropriate bins. Whew!

During the cleanup we found a white towel that we don't recognize. Is anyone missing one? It's kind of bulky to mail so you'll just have to pick it up in person next year. smile
