Had a RP about
seven years ago. Then adjunct radiation. Now, with rising PSA, taking Zytiga and Prednisone for six months. PSA was 19 when I started HT about
6 months ago. Weighed about
135 - 140 off and on. Prior to dx I was 150 - 155, sometimes 160. Started on diet and it fell 135 - 140. I always loose a couple pounds in summer. Maybe down to 132.
Problem/Question I am now 125.5 (scary). Wonder if anyone knows of food that will pack on a few pounds? Obviously, I avoid dairy, red meat, all those other things that are not that good for keeping PCa under control. One onc. told me to go get a big mac, vanilla shake and apple pie. I don't think so....
Anybody have any suggestions?

Foods that put on weight are fatty and sugary.
or simply eat more. Rice, grains, might help.
if it were me, I'd present myself to the nearest hamburger place and tell them, "Doctor's orders."

When they were wanting my mom to gain weight the doctor recommended Ensure. I don't know sugar content etc. in it but it worked. She was drinking 3 a day and eating her meals. If not that maybe some protein shakes a few times a day made with Almond milk.

Ensure is fats from oils (corn, canola), carbs (corn stuff), protein (soy, milk), flavorings, vitamins, and a bunch of sugar.

Maybe have a go at protein shakes. All the carbs. sugar, red meat, makes me shudder just a bit.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
