PSA came back same as 3 months ago, at .033. I guess I'll take it. would have been happier with a .02 print, but I'll take it, at least it didn't go up.
So now my history after surgery is...
<.02 Feb 2015 till Oct 2016.
.02 Jan 2017, feb 2017.
May 2017 - .033 (different lab,
)
Aug 2017 - .033.
I don't really understand. I know common wisdom is that there is. Margin of error at these nano levels. And yet having a .033 two times in a row tells me this stuff is pretty precise (and I read that about
3rd generation uPSA)
Surgeons NP, tells me, good result .033, still undetectable. BUT I SAY ITS MEASURABLE.
So what exactly causes PSA to go from NOT measurable, to measurable. It's not benign tissue, if it was, I would have been measurable much sooner, methinks. This is the $64,000 question, the answer to which would probably give me some peace of mind. I need some logic.
Anyway, whatever, I can exhale for a few more months. I'm guessing surgeon will tell me when I see him that I can go 6 months till my next visit/test (seeing him Friday). But I'm not sure I would do that even if he said I should.
Thanks for letting me whine and vent. I realize I'm very lucky so far, compared to some of you. It's not lost on me, so thanks for the support.
