Counting on diet to make a big difference in PCa recovery is foolhardy, IMHO.
I can't say that I've ever seen or heard of
anyone counting on diet to make a big difference in PC recovery, so that statement is kind of a head-scratcher. I guess it's just an extreme exaggeration meant for effect.
The high-fat Western diet modifies PC risks. It's not a cure. Many people are interested in altering the course of the disease. For those who have been diagnosed with PC despite low-fat diets, imagine what your case might have been had you not followed your diet. As the American Cancer Society says, "
For the great majority of Americans who do not smoke cigarettes, dietary choices and physical activity are the most important modifiable determinants of cancer risk."
BTW, am I the only one who has noticed that the people who talk about
their diet in terms of following
"moderation in all things" all need to lose at least 15 pounds to reach a healthy weight.
