Day 1 of 40 SRT

After surgery 2015,a standing PSA of .4 after 8 weeks, 9 months of Lupron and 1 yr remission PSA came back .2 a month ago. My hubby is seeing Dr. Alvaro Martinez for SRT and started today. We asked all the questions we could find and made the decision to treat. 72 grays total in 40 treatments. Praying for 1 thing...to get to the other side of this no worse than he is now health and quality of life wise. Surgery was a long recovery for him for continence and he don't ever want to go thru that again If anyone has any helpful ideas to remain healthy thru treatments, I would love to hear them.

Except that it was boring, SRT was not a problem for me. I experienced the smallest amount of tiredness. The biggest challenge was figuring out the right amount to drink in advance and how to time that. Drink too little and the bladder isn't full enough. Drink too much and the bladder is too full and painful by the end of the session. By the end of seven weeks I was a pro. I found that the solution was not to drink a lot, but drink it about an hour in advance. Your results may vary. Good luck to you and your husband!
