So sorry to hear. We have very similar histories, and I just came back as well. Your numbers seem to be moving pretty fast from lows that most would be happy with. What was your post SRT nadir? Glad you're seeing an onco.

Hello again
- saw the Oncologist again today - Monday, February 5 ( my 6-month follow-up) and he basically repeated what he said last time - they didn't get all the cancer and will work at slowing it down when the time comes.
As a rule for him, he starts hormone treatments when the PSA gets between 6-10
- at that time it would be of a size they could possibly actually see.
We are now doing bloodwork every 3 months to plot the trajectory and follow-up every 6 months - so I will see him again in August....
... so will put any "worrying" on the back burner and just enjoy life and do what I do.
Lots of hugs and love to one and all. Thanks for listening.

Considering it's doubling fairly fast (tripled in 3 months),
I'd suggest to him about
getting scanned much sooner with one of the more sensitive PET scans like C11-Choline or PSMA type scans

There are 3 risk factors that almost everyone (aside from your doctor) agree upon that should be a trigger to begin ADT: detected metastases, high PSA, or PSADT≤9 months.

Sorry to see you aren't back here just for a social call. Your PSA has increased a lot over the past 6 months, but FWIW my oncologist has told me he doesn't put much faith in doubling times based on PSA numbers that are below 1. With a bit of luck, your doubling time may lengthen as the PSA moves into whole numbers. Best of luck.
