They certainly show up. Hemorrhages and other structural alterations are common from prostatitis.
They can even show up as PIRADS 4 and 5 on MRI's, although that is less common.
There are many causes for prostate lesions (anything not expected to be seen there), and, at this time, a biopsy is the only way to really test them for cancer.
