Just Rang the Bell

I just rang the bell at MDA. 39 IMRT treatments to Prostate and Pelvis. Feeling very good and tolerated it well.

Will probably have some scans and blood work done in the near future. Hoping we get some good results from this new treatment.

I did have genomic testing done but that wasn't why they did carboplatin. At the time they wanted to do a "cocktail". I only ended up having one carboplatin infusion due to liver enzyme issues. I ended up just having 6 taxel treatments.

Side effects have been very mild. Thanks for your thoughts.

Do you know if they looked for germline DNA repair defects as part of your genomic test?

I have been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during your course of radiation treatments.

I am thankful you tolerated the treatments well. I am sure you have been counting the days.

This weekend, you can finally rest, relax, and celebrate.

I may be following in your footsteps, in terms of the "radiation to the prostate" plan that you have been following. I'm heading up to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, this next week to consult with a radiation oncologist about this possible course of treatment, just as you have recently done.
