The pain in my side is much reduced and I'm starting to think I might have beat the problem for now.
Based on medical advice here's what I've done so far:
1. When the pain is really bad, switch to a clear liquid diet (have had to do twice so far)
2. Eat more radishes and papaya - I forget why, but my wife happily adds both to my lunch salads.
3. Add a probiotic to my diet - not really sure what the doc was talking about
, but wife puts this yogurt (fage) in my lunch that she says has good biotic stuff. It's not horrible so I eat it.
4. Avoid all refined sugars.
5. Take a papaya enzyme supplement (yeah, I never heard of it either, but the doc thought it would help. I'm not sure it helps, but I've got a whole bottle).
6. Actually use my fitbit to measure my daily walking. Currently I am averaging about
45 minutes a day with walking 60 minutes a day as my goal (about
3 miles, 8,000 steps).
One thing is that I've found it takes a whole hour to walk for 60 minutes.
I might not be posting regularly as I've got a lot of walking to do.
Peace,
Andrew
