Were there any symptoms that led up to Liver failure diagnosis?

I was getting full chemistry labs every month, as the doc (onco) was (is) super attentive.

The lab work after 4 weeks showed the liver function numbers at 2x what the max high limit is. At 8 weeks, they were double that, at 12, the lab called to get a recheck, as the numbers were consistent (in their opinion) with total failure, or corrupt test results. I made a lot of short term changes suggested by the doc to see if there were other external inputs. That gave us no improvement, so I dropped Zytiga. It took two months for the numbers to fall to acceptable levels, and eventually they went back to the low end of the lab's stated ranges. There does not appear to be any permanent / residual damage.

I never had anything I recognized as a problem, but there were other blood markers that went off the rails, according to the doc.

I had to wait for three PSA increases due to insurance. When those happened, I went to Xtandi, which worked (very well) for about 14 months (see sig).

I'm on chemo / Taxotere every other week now.
