Larry, yes I had a few of those, "get on the thrown quickly" incidences, too. Imodium helps but it kinda constipated me, so I went back and forth taking it.
I have to force the car from heading toward the hospital to get radiated, it became such a habit. We are lucky that we only live 30 minutes away and could make the drive everyday. Can't imagine the hassle some of you guys go through having to stay there for treatment!
Just as the memory fades for us who had surgery, this fades, too, and hopefully we can get on with our lives? Suddenly we have a block of time to do the things we want to do, again.
I told the radiation therapists I was going to miss them (and meant it) but was not going to miss the room we had to meet in! Special people work in this field to not only deal with sick people everyday.
Yes, enjoy the 5K and keep exercising as much as possible to keep those SE's at bay!
Everyone hang tough!
