Everton, Thanks for relating your experience. I can see where each of us is unique; I'd never heard of someone paying the piper at the end...

Just out of curiosity, did you keep your hair? I'm virtually 5 weeks into this, and haven't lost mine yet, though my beard isn't growing in much...

Here's to continued low PSA readings...

I started losing my hair probably after 3rd treatment. I said screw and just shaved it all off. It was easy for me as i have always sport a brush cut for years.

My hair started falling out in big clumps after the 2ed round..So I just used a barbers clippers with the shortest adapter installed and cut all but about 1/8" of my remaining hair off..The short hair has not fallen out and in fact is slowly growing in again..

Every other treatment I get a bag of Zomeda along with the Dosetaxel. These two combined seem to extend the "Chemo Crash" to almost a week instead of the 3 or 4 day Crash delivered by the Dosetaxel alone..It could also be that as the treatment progresses, it takes longer to recover from the effects of the drug(s)

Re chemo crash getting worse: That's a worry I have. I don't feel like the previous 3 days were debilitating, but yesterday was the 1st day in about 4 that I felt like 'me'. Late day 2 I felt like my head was wrapped in cotton, or something separating me from life, but i realized that was low sugar. After eating a Moes bowl, I was better. Now I still don't know what to expect, which has me on tenterhooks...

A question for any who have experience with Modified Citrus Pectin: b/c it's expensive, as offered by my Integrative MD, I hesitated to buy. I won't be taking recommended (3*/day) dosage, but it was a change yesterday, taking the MCP, and I felt, and feel better. Is that what it's good for? Or was it prolly merely coincidental?
