I agree that maybe I pushed the recovery a too much too soon. I should have known better because I've done the same with my running training. At some point, the body tells you to back off ... provided you are listening.
I've been diligent with self-massage, elevation, icing, and compression socks as of yesterday, and I am happy to report I walked a mile today with no pain. I'm hopeful this points to no lymphoceles, or that at least they are beginning to drain.
I had to laugh at your pressure washing incident Saipan Paradise because that's exactly what happened with my garage project. All I was doing was turning screws tight, but apparently, those seemingly benign activities put more pressure on the core than we realize.
I will definitely check into the ultrasound because MRI's are costly, even with insurance. And because I don't' handle those confined spaces well.
I'm not happy to hear about
the months and months of recovery, but if I can avoid going back for more surgery to take care of lymphoceles, or whatever, I'll take it.
