What and how soon before psa test should i modify behavior.

I run, bike and lift weights daily. Not all in the same day. What period of time before the blood test should I curtail these and sex?

A couple of days is fine... I would do that.

As another radiation guy, this has never been clear to me. FWIW, I think the only things you have to worry about is being and sex. Is there your first post treatment PSA test? If so, why not be safe and try to hold off on biking for at least three days? (Oh, and ditto for the other thing...)

I agree. 48 hours for biking and sex, just to be safe. You can lift weights and run all you want.

I never lift weights or ride a bike. I just don't do the sex for two days.

There is some question on the right amount of time, but two days is the normal recommendation.

I dont bike but do walk/jog 5 miles daily and lift weights every other day. There isn't consensus for all of the usual precautions before PSA except sexual abstinence 48 hours before. I take a break from my exercise routine 3 days before the test.
