Underarm hair

Yes, you read that right. Anyone else lose underarm hair while on leuprolide ADT? Mrs Paradise called it to my attention this morning. Smooth as a baby’s behind.

SP, I’m about to start my sixth month of Lupron and I haven’t lost my underarm hair but I haven’t grown any either. It seems to be stuck at the state it was when I started my Lupron odyssey lol

Yes, mine is gone after two years on ADT. Actually, I don't miss it. Allot less of a mess with the stick deodorant without the hair for it to cling to.

I’ve never seen hair loss listed among the many possible side effects from Lupron.

However, my grandpa also lost his underarm hair as he got older. Just sayin’.

Other areas, too? One less grooming step.

Where my hair was starting to thin pre-ADT did thicken up. Michael T , now that you’ve been off the ADT awhile, has the thicker hair remained? I’m hopeful ...

Yeah, I noticed underarm hair disappeared around the same time as my chest hair. The hair on my arms and legs became thin and wispy, but seems to be even longer. What was left of the hair below the navel disappeared during RT.

Speaking of underarms, for the past few weeks I've had killer super hyper intense hot flashes (far worse than what I'd had for the past 18 months) characterized by profuse sweating. I posted here about a month ago whether or not anyone else who is on ADT plus a high dose of prednisone had experienced this also, though I did find an older thread asking the same question. Just this week I now have an unexplained rash in both under pits, and I suspect it's prickly heat.

Roblee, I had about the same experience. Underarms, chest, all gone.

Weirdly, the hairs on my arms became very long indeed, some around 3-4". They were very fine, and have always been strawberry blond so not at all noticeable to anyone but me. Just.... weird.

Sure is a tough way to get thicker hair Bobby Mac, and now that Michael_T has weighed in saying it goes away, it seems even tougher!

I have always had quite a bit of body hair. I tend to like the term furry better than hairy although the guys who dress up like My Little Pony and prance around on YouTube do take some of the shine off the word. (Not that there is anything wrong with that, I hasten to add.) But... where was I? Oh yes, body hair: I lost mine while I was on ADT. I looked like a steamed chicken. And felt about that sexy.

I grew a bit of useless downy fluff on my bald head, my beard thinned out a bit and I only needed to shave once a week... which I didn't always... because nobody cared.

Someone mentioned how the lack of underarm hair improves the aesthetics of applying deodorant. And I guess it does. But I found I became much less picky about the sort of deodorant I used and if I missed a day nobody would notice. Men on Lupron can't even stink properly. It was horrible.

And, yes, Lefty and Dexter shrank to the size of gumdrops. ...which I might not have noticed except that scrotal itching is the one manly thing that ADT doesn't take away.

Yes, yes it did, along with my chest hair. But my pubs, seem to have come in stronger.

In addition my body chemistry for sweat has changed also.
Meaning, when I sweat, it smells worse, much worse.
Think of a three day old dead possum in the summer.
I can't stand myself, share price for stock in Right Guard has probably really taken off.

Well Larry if you don't need the stalk ( if you could find it ) as you said in another thread you don't need the beans either.
