Has any one had experience with Dr Richard W Joseph at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville FL?

If not , any good MOs for PCA you can recommend? Preferably on east coast?

When you say "east coast" I'm assuming you mean east coast of the US rather than the east coast of Florida. I've been seeing Dr. Emmanuel Antonarakis at Johns Hopkins for years and would highly recommend him. I'm an engineer and he is highly analytical so we seem to have a good connection. Good Luck in finding someone.

Yes I meant east coast of US. How often do you need to go to Baltimore? I’m assuming he works with local MOs for injections, etc.?

I'm in Wilmington, De so it's an easy (well if you call I95 easy) 1hr 15min drive to Baltimore. I see him on a once every 3 month schedule. Don't know about how he would work with local physicians. I've had all my tests/treatments at Johns Hopkins.

Break, Dr Joseph has been my oncologist at Mayo Florida for the last 7 years. He did his residency at MD Anderson in Texas. He put me on Lupron and zytiga about 5 years ago and I have had an undetectable PSA since. He has excellent communication skills and patient care.

I was dx with Gleason 9 in august 2009

In the southeast I would suggest Oliver Sartor at Tulane in New Orlens and Vaughn Kasabian with Georgia Urology in Atlanta. Both excellent PCa specialists.

Jerry: very informative chart! Dr Joseph does have great bio and he’s only about a 2 1/2 drive from me in Hilton Head. In your opinion is he fully conversant with all the latest treatments for PCa? Does he have many PCa patients?
For the first time, I’m experiencing pain. It’s in left posterior femur area. So I’ve scheduled a total body bone scan for 9/5. If it’s a met my inclination is to hit it with SBRT as I did with the met in my right femur in May of 2017. The bothersome aspect is the pain I’m experiencing for the first time. It could also be a hamstring muscle pull . Hope so!
