Rough night

Not much sleep last night, Mild fever, Hot flashes and my COPD acting up, Coughing up flem all night....
Plus the normal fatigue and over all feeling like crap, Can't wait for the Radiation to start on 10/22 to see what it brings to the party....
Sorry if I'm ranting....

I think you will find the first couple of weeks of radiation pretty much a non-event. Sorry to hear you are having problems. Deal with those and don't worry about the radiation. Most guys manage it easily. My main symptoms were the ever-popular odd bowel behavior and a marked tendency to fall asleep watching television.

Venting and ranting are pretty much the same thing, but venting is a more positive description. So vent (or rant) all you want. That’s why we here. It’s good to get it out. Tomorrow’s a new day and I hope you feel better.

I agree with PDA, RT really wasn’t a big for me, and the issues that came towards the end were quite manageable.

Hot flashes are normal for ADT. Are the other things you are experiencing? I'd check with the doctor about the COPD. Everything you are experiencing now is much worse than the RT is likely to be. Good luck.

MJ, Not sure when you had your shot, just as an FYI for a few days after my first shot, i ran a fever, and felt like a train wreck. Suddenly i woke up one morning and felt almost back to myself, and totally back to myself a few days later.
The hot flashes will come and go. Yesterday i was getting them every 15 minutes. Today i only had 2 all day, and very shortlived and mild.

Hang in there and yup, rant all you want

man I had so many bad nights between HT, BT and IGRT but I kept telling myself it was temporary. hang in there man!
