Hello ~
Sometimes, they can lessen the dosage of ZYTIGA, when the situation warrants it.
My oncologist has me do lab work, every four weeks, to make sure everything is staying on track with ZYTIGA.
I have been on ZYTIGA now for nearly 40 months. We have members here who have been on ZYTIGA just a few months, and others who have been on ZYTIGA for much longer.
I plan to stay on ZYTIGA as long as I possibly can ... I even stayed on it this past spring, during nine solid weeks of radiation. ZYTIGA continues to help me ...
A couple of bits of advice, no matter what ...
To combat the feelings of fatigue ... a daily walk can really help boost energy levels. Stay consistent ... if the weather is rainy or inclement, find an indoor location for walking ... a shopping mall, a gym, a recreation center ... I even know of larger churches and schools that allow people to walk inside.
Also --- along with my ZYTIGA pills, which I take first thing in the morning --- it's essential to drink plenty of water along with the pills --- it helps combat any feelings of nausea that may ensue if you don't drink enough water with the pills.
One morning, I was in a rush, and "wolfed" the ZYTIGA tablets ... within an hour, I had the dry heaves, because I neglected to slow down and drink some water before, during, and AFTER I had taken each of the four ZYTIGA tablets. Lesson learned ! Has never happened again since the day I learned my lesson !
Wishing you the very best ~
