As Andrew stated only a biopsy can detect the cancer. And as was stated only a biopsy can reveal the Gleason scores and the extent of the cancer. However, a 12 core biopsy only samples about 1% of the prostate. The nation1al average is that only 50% of the biopsies are positive for cancer. Meaning that too may biopsies are performed.

Take your time in the investigation to rule out non-cancer issues. Get the PHI and other tests that will help to decide upon a biopsy. Consider taking Avodart for six months. It will lower the PSA and shrink the prostate. This can make it easier to detect abnormalities with a DRE and better isolate PSA increases that would indicate PCa.

Or just go for it and get a saturation biopsy guided by sonar...and be done with it....more and more dis and dats "signifying nothing"...I really...really wish I was wrong on this one...but its as true as pretense and envy...the scourge of civil(ha ha)lie...zation ...'say it ain't so Bole...say it ain't so'...Twilight Zone episode...

No I can not...and when I try...I bite my tounge and scream...everyone nearby thinks it's a shark attack...its not pretty...this morning was head high...and very light wind...nice...tomorrow...nice conditions...but head high ++...Im gonna be like really carefull tomorrow morning but Im a lil bit nervous...I do know my limits...y'all know how that goes... 6 to 10 feet...I almost took a 10 footer once...but chickened out and retreated into the wave just made it over the lip as it broke... I have no idea how I can do it at my age...Ireally don't...there are old guys out there...but not 75...yep Im bragging...and I never touched a board...until I was 67...Pca was the motivator...excellent fitness and Mind go together like a horse and carriage no guts...no glory....Ok enough about me...lets talk about you....what do you think about me...drum roll cymbal clash....er...ah nothing dear...just helping the nice folks on HW....rattafratarats… Hey this is a no subject thread...live a little

We have spent a bit of time in and around Ohio State...middle son got one of his masters there...yep has 2 and now a doctorate at Chapel Hill...an old furnace kine town{Columbus}...worked out a few times at their Gym(Ohio State)...the best gym I found following him around(for the purists...the gym was not following him around) was the NCAA's in Indianapolis...now that's a gym...toodles...oodles of noodles

Usually strayed comments are caused by members clicking the first button when they mean to click the second.

Unfortunately, there is no way I know of for a moderator to corral a stray comment and herd it back where it belongs. We can guess which thread it goes in and copy it there but the forum will show it as the moderator's comment, not the actual poster's.

Besides, we would lose all the amusing logospew.

since the thread is still around I would be remiss not to mention the waves that I angsted over were not as big as local media loves to report...they were up(6 to 8 with power and the ocean was definitely angry...ocean swells all kine different direction....most difficult part was paddling back out...you can get stuck in no mans land(especially on a SUP) and oceans power keeps pushing you back to shore...thankfully waves come in sets...so when there is a lull...time to move out past the break...good fun...I know there are a few surfers on board here...and even tho its OT(nothing really is...donchja know...we create boundaries to admit we really don't have a clue(subtle and pesky...yet...)...the post is my story and I'm sticken to it... 4 to 5(with a lot of power) and glassy conditions forecast as the swell weakens and the ocean chills...
