Reduced Zytiga Dose-Am I a clinical trial? Still a ZERO!

Starting in July after 7 months of Zytiga my liver numbers went up. Finally they were so high I had to stop Zytiga. After returning to normal I started taking 750 mg ( a 3/4 dose). My liver numbers shot up again. So I started taking 1 500 mg pill a day. I am very pleased that latest PSA last Friday kept me in the Zero Club and my liver numbers are good. Will meet MO next week to decide continued treatment. Wonder if anyone else here is on reduced Zytiga dose. Or am I my own clinical trial?

Great news on the PSA.

if you're the clinical trial that would make you part of the experimental group and the control group. Interesting...

GoBucks...I had exactly the same response as you. Liver numbers were up, stopped Zytiga and they went back to normal. Tried 3/4 dose, levels were still high, so decreased it to a 1/2 dose and all was well.

My own mantra for these new medications and treatments ... as long as they are working, stay on the train as long as you can, and follow it all the way ...

Saw MO today. I will finish my last 14 500mg one per day. Then will try 750 again ( 3 250's) Will monitor with weekly blood draws. My MO would really prefer I take 750 if I can tolerate it. This hiccup has caused a big delay in my bottle collection!
