Very bad communication; scared the crap out of me for a day.
Here are the emails.

Dr. S:
Thank you so much for that email. It totally clarified things for us. For some reason, the communication from the doctor who called us was confusing. I thought she indicated that there was an enlarged lymph node and Cheryl (my wife) who was on the extension thought there was a suspicious spot. Obviously something was misinterpreted. I knew any enlarged node that was cancerous would not be PC (#1, I am on HT and #2 the PSMA scan only showed 2 such spots).
Glad you wrote me; I feel MUCH better about
the situation. In fact, your efforts to get everything right in encouraging.
We are waiting for the schedulers to call as we want to get that CT scan done quickly, if possible.

I hope you are doing well.
I wanted to let you know that during the simulation scan you had that unfortunately the scan didn’t go down quite low enough to capture everything we need. We greatly apologize for this.
There is not any new cancer found, but simply that we need to fully capture all of your healthy organs in the scan to make sure we can safely avoid them from radiation therapy and the scan didn’t quite go low enough.
I apologize for the inconvenience for needing another scan.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Mel,
Very happy to hear their correction. You (and we all) do not need this kind of added stress. It's enough just dealing with the quirks of this strange disease...

It actually got worse!
Scheduling never called. I finally called radiation/oncology.
That doctor who couldn't communicate with us apparently never communicated with scheduling to set up the repeat CT scan!
It is now set for Friday.
Thank goodness I have a wonderful RO. It was his new resident who screwed all this up.
Hopefully he will conference with her. She is certainly in the learning phase, but a very poor start.
Mel
