finished 44 treatments of Tomo on 12/27/18. have been on 6 mo Eligard since 8/22/18 so 4.5 months.. on 1/10/19 went to a pre scheduled standard VA lab draw and was a bit surprised at a T=236.6. my pre eligard T=239. also a arbitrary blood draw 1 month after starting eligard was T=39. my PSA has dropped real good tho. pre treatment was 22+ now 3.6. any input is appreciated.. by the way my SE from RT are not extremely bad except I have 3-5 loose HOT stools per day and not much notice.. Ed

I would probably ask for a retest of your T level. You originally showed the desired drop in T right after starting Eligard. It shouldn't be back to baseline, or anywhere near there, yet.

Also, your excitement in the bathroom is entirely normal in the weeks after RT. I had some months of similar excitement after my SBRT treatment. The good thing is that it all returns to somewhere near normal in time. We just all heal at different rates.

I agree; there is something odd about that T test (234) while on hormone therapy. I also concur that a follow-up T test is advisable.

Thanks for your replies. I have sent a note to uro about this.. these tests were accidentally ordered. so I prolly won't get a retest.. what if (big if) the t=236 is correct?? can only assume the 6 month quit working, or something else is odd.. Ed

Well got a retest of my T at a different lab on 1/19/19.. T=187.. even tho there is a difference,, the 187 is still way too high.. (my URO agrees) only answer is got a 1 month or 3 month eligard shot packaged in a 6 month.. question is tho,, will this affect the outcome? was supposed to get just the one 6 month shot and no more unless there was a re-occurrence down the road. has anyone had this happen? Ed

My hypothesis is that someone dropped the ball on the Eligard injection. Either the wrong dose, as you already surmised, or the 6-month dose was not administered properly.

well to be on the safe side My URO gave me a 3 month yesterday.. YAY!!... could be worse I guess.. Ed
