Professor Bill Burhans
In 2013 Bill was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer caused in part by an inherited mutation in the BRCA2 gene. His own research laid the foundations for current therapies that have contributed to some of his treatments. Bill serves on AnCan’s Board of Directors and Board of Advisors

I did.
1. The lecturer was excellent, nice pace, and lucid.

2. The lecture covered what it promised (see the first post in this thread). For instance, he discussed

3. Origin of cancer; germ-line or somatic mutations
.
4. How do somatic mutations arise at the DNA level

5. The mechanism of action of some of the newer cancer drugs at the molecular level with an emphasis on Lynparza (Olaparib). The latter is being evaluated for certain (!) prostate cancers.

6. What is 'Personalized Medicine'?
