Due to improvements made to the current 2nd Generation Testosterone assay, new age and gender specific
reference intervals in adults were implemented starting February 2016. reference intervals for ages <21 years, >77 have not been determined.

An updated PSA Assay was implemented as of Sept , 2018.
The new assay has negative bias compared to the old assay. Bias increase at low concentrations with an average negative bias of 20% and 14% at concentrations <0.1 and <4 ng/mi, respectively. Comparing results before and after the assay implementation date must be done with caution. Some patients may require establishing new baselines.

Elevated PSA level(4.1 - 30.0 mcg/L) can also be found in conditions other than PC, such as BPH, prostatitis, cirrhosis , genitourinary and renal diseases. Healthy elderly subjects may have higher PSA levels(<4.5 mcg/L for ages 60-69 yrs and <6.6 mcg/L for ages 70-79 yrs)

Are you somewhere outside the US? Unusual in this country to see those units of measurement reported. The mcg/L is the same as the more commonly used ng/mL, but T is different.

Last line in your signature says:

A bit confusing.
Was May 2016 your last PSA reading before now? Or was your last reading in Nov 2016--about six months later? Any readings since 2016?

Canada and I wanted to make some reference to the new testing process. And sorry about the signature data, I haven't been updating it as religious as I use to.
