Wednesday at 1100 I had my Right middle lobectomy....
about a 2 Hr. Surgery, Everything went really well, I know that while I was in recovery Morphine was my friend....
In ICU they gave me my own little button to push when I needed the Morphine....
Short version is Surgery on Wed 1100 home by 1130 Fri....
I picked up a slightly fast heart rate, Right now typing this I'm 105, Last night while on a short slow walk I went up to 120....

MG, hope the lung surgery went well aside from the problem you describe. Lung issues, I would imagine, make the heart work harder, to pump more oxygenated blood to the body.
What do the doctors say about the rapid heart rate/tachycardia?maybe a beta blocker? Or maybe let it take its course as part of the healing process?

Post-op tachycardia is often caused by anemia resulting from blood loss during surgery. Have your hemoglobin checked and if necessary start supplementing iron. The best form is the polysaccharide.Also full iron panel, including ferritin and saturation. I've been thru this a few times... it's scary, but not uncommon, and may take months to become stable.
