Has xtandi worked ?

Has xtandi workd n any1 on whom arbitertone had never worked ?? Arbiterone never workd fr my father. My MO suggests to take either xtandi or ketoconazol +estradiol patches.. Please suggest..

Lutetium therapy started at AIIMS delhi, India jan 2018.
Psa after first cycle: 0.2
Secnd cycle 0.4
4th cycle 11
5th cycle 22
Kept on Observation psa 44
6th cycle psa 30 (disease burden less than previous psma scan ) started arbiterone and predinsolone
After 3mnths psa 55

Zytiga worked for me but Xtandi worked better. Lower PSA with Xtandi.

I am so sorry about your father; I hope he is not suffering.
I cannot answer your (highly specialized) question, but can say that even if there was an answer, it wouldn't necessarily apply to your Dad's case. It is often said here that each case is different (true).
From the data you provided it appears that abiraterone may not have been effective the first time around (2016). And it also looks that it is not 'working' this time around. But maybe there will be better news with the next PSA test. How is he dealing with the bone metastases?

All I can say is that his doctors are trying every way to help.

My husband was on Zytega for one month, his liver went crazy. His doctor then switched him to Xtandi, which was a much easier drug to take and it did him well for 4 1/2 years. It was a great drug for him and one he probably got the most benefit from.
