Pre PSA test no-nos for Post RT/ADT guy?

I have a lab order for a PSA test, which will be the first one for me since my T returned after IMRT and 2+ years of ADT (Lupron). I'm wondering if the pre PSA test no-nos my Uro told me about before I was diagnosed (no bike riding, no long car trips, no heavy lifting, no sex, etc... for 48 - 72 hours) applies in my situation now?

yup, still applies as you still have a prostate.

but, since your prostate has been fried, it might not be that deal if you did one of those things.

Mostly I just avoid sex, a couple of days before the blood draw.

If you don't have a prostate, there are no restrictions.

Sex, bike riding, etc. squeeze the prostate and this mechanical action may cause additional PSA to be put in the blood stream. The affect - both how much and how long it stays elevated is a bit debated.

Without a prostate there is nothing to squeeze and any PSA in your system is due to PC - either mets or a bit left behind prostate tissue.
