when to expect hot flashes to go away? Need your feedback !

My last shot was April of last year the hot flashes are as bad as they have ever been

MS, my last shot was November 2018, it was a 3 month shot, so my treatment ran its course as of February 2019, 1o months ago. i had 6 months of that poison.

Over the last 2 months it seems to have faded considerably, but i still get the occasional hot flash. I am testing tomorrow (only T, not PSA, I dont want to know about my PSA until my next RO follow up in April.)
In my last conversation with the NP, at my ROs office, which was in October, she said my T was rising pretty slowly, and its not as far along in recovery as they would hope, but i still have time, they expect full recovery in 6 -12 months. So mid February is 12 months. I asked her about never recovering. She said it happens but its rare. She also commented that my baseline T before treatment was on the low side so that might have something todo with the slow recovery (308) .

Hope that helps give you a little perspective, but i am afraid that the name of this game is "Patience" . Way more than we would like to need.

I got 18 months of Lupron on my first ride with it. It took about 9 months for the hot flashes to go away. I've read that while the time it takes for them to disappear is very variable, it is usually related to how long a guy was on the Lupron. So hopefully in a few more months yours will go away.

My last 3 month shot (had 2 in total )was Dec.15/18. Hot flashes were pretty well gone by July/19. As with so many things PC, it depends alot with the individual. None of us react the same way to treatments. Best be patient and live with what happens. I seem to have an easier time with treatments and procedures than some and I think it is because of a very active daily physical life so this cannot be stressed enough. For your own mental and physical well being, set up a daily exercise programme and stick with it. Your hot flashes over a few more months, will soon become a distant memory.

I'm with Almost a 10 except I have "only" been on Lupron since November 2017. I think it is lessening. I take DH Ultimate and it seems to have helped.
