Yet another Hospital visit

Had another Hospital stay on the 24/25/26....
This time was tachycardia.
My Heart rate went up to 150, So I walk into the the ER with my Pulse Ox meter on my finger and I just showed them my 150 and low and behold I went right in....
That first day was a night mare, I got to ER about 1030 in the morning I finialy got too my room at 1 in the morning....
So they gave me a new pill to regulate my Heart rate....

I just hope the delay wasn't due to the hospital being overwhelmed by flu-sufferers (ordinary flu, that is), rushing into the ER convinced they had contracted that other kind.

I also spent time at the hospital this week. Went to the ER Tuesday morning with obvious a-fib and chest pain. They admitted me and observed me for any increase in cardiac enzymes, which would indicate muscle damage, but that was all fine. My rate is actually somewhat controlled, not the 130 or 150 that some people get, but is was very uneven thanks to the atrial fibrillation. On Wednesday afternoon, they cardioverted me (my third time for this shocking procedure) and sent me home with a normal sinus rhythm and my usual heart rate of 55-60. Now, I'll be scheduling a cardiac ablation to try to put an end to the bouts with a-fib once and for all. My heart's in good shape other than the a-fib electrical problem, so I'm looking forward to the ablation. Did they suspect atrial fibrillation in your case, or atrial flutter? Some people tolerate it well, but for me it's very unpleasant.
