For those that have given me alot of input I got my results from my Pet Scan today... Negative, but a couple of nodules.
Doc said he doesn't think it is cancer, but going to consult with radiologist.

Good initial report. Here is hoping for the best and that whatever is seen is benign.

Thanks for posting. Good report. I'm due for a PSA test and MO visit next week - though likely will get the test at my local hospital and the consult with Dana-Farber by phone or video chat. Based on last conversation he will request an Axumin scan as soon as PSA falls within Blue Cross's approval range.

Your latest PSA (0.569) is worrisome and the source/origin needs to be detailed!

Well, there's not much to say. You've had RP/RT and you're clearly recurrent. If you are not already seeing a PCa MO, that would be my next stop. Seeing an RO is a good idea for possible spot radiation if the mets can be located.

I am seeing a MO at the VA. Got the pet scan with "Choice". I have a appointment May 15 and a blood test before. He might suggest MRI but will let me know. He didn't seem to worry about nodules.

I thought an Axium scan was a Pet scan. Was your PSA too low? My scan is on April 21. I am afraid to even go to the hospital out of fear of Covid-19.

The hospital in Charlotte for pet scans has a side entrance and only two people in there which is the person at the desk and the person doing the test. So know problem. Studies show that Axium scan can be sensitive as low as .5. Like I said it did pick up a couple of small nodules but no cancer. I wanted to get it over with for the peace of mind...

An Axumin scan is done with a a PET scanner. But not all PET scans use Axumin as the contrast agent. An Axumin scan is an extra sensitive scan that specifically targets cancer cell clusters. I wish I knew how to weigh risk of hospital visit vs risk of delayed treatment.

Oh, I am going to put my mask on and go get the scan. I had a bilateral knee replacement in Dec so I am used to hospitals.

My MO was going to get up with a radiologist to go over scan about the nodules. He doesn't think they are cancer but wants second opinion. My next appointment is May 15 and I will have a blood test before and then see where I am at and make decisions. Will keep you all updated. This site has been a life saver.... Thank God, and I pray all have peace during this time of anxiety.

Well just got called and they want me to come for a CT Scan because of the nodules. Now I am going to have to wait for that results.... Does it ever get easy getting hit with thoughts.... Don't look up things on the internet that for is even worse, but you can't help it because you have to wait for results.

Just got the results of my CT scan for the nodules on my lungs. Everything is non cancerous. Thank you Jesus
