Bleeding 5 years after radiation

Prostate bleeding 5 yrs after radiation
My husband had rad therapy and seed implant 4 1/2 yrs ago lupron shots for 5 yrs zytiga for 4 mo then 7 cycles of taxotere. This was followed by 6 months xtandi and now on 80 per cent jevant. Started blood clots in October and began on levinox, one in lung and the just below aorta. He been having gross blood in urine for over week. Scoped his bladder and ct of kidney and prostate. I guess they say he is having post radiation effects that prostate is bleeding and some of the bladder. They want to watch it for 2 weeks and then start hyperbaric therapy. I know they cautious because of everything that going on with him, with caranovirus it our interactions with our Dr. I know that onc/ rad called to discuss this next week after reading the uro report. Has anyone else experienced this heard of this. He Wes Gleason 8 psa 40 now wide spread node involvement, bone mets to skull.

Minn, so sorry you guys are going through this. Radiation can cause problems years after treatment, although it is less common these days with the latest technology that limits radiation to affected areas. Beyond that I have no advice other than let the doctors guide you. Stay tuned, others will chime in.

Thanks for your replies and thoughts. We know this is going to be difficult times ahead the ca seems to be attacking all areas. He was seen at mayo and canceled all fallow up up appt due the caranovirus, referred back reg onc. He was recommended 20 hyperber is tx, but we would have to drive 65 miles one way. We are trying dropping the dose Lovenox inj in half to decease the bleeding and still prevent clot formation. Just hoping it is still therapy range. He goes in for his 6 jevtana 80% in 3 days. His 2 tx were of course good dropping his psa by (pt) 13 and 12 with the last 3 only 1 each time. His only side effects was fatigue and upset stomach for up to 5 days later. This time he is given a weekly liter of IV ns to keep him hydrated. I sometimes fee like we are at leaky dam and can’t fix or plug all holes.
