Hello Brothers and Sisters , I started my SBRT treatment Mar. 2016 . My baseline psa that day was 6.87. My recent , a few days ago was 1.10 down from 1.20 . I have had a total of 17 blood draws which included 4 from VA . My lowest has been .83 in Sept. 2018 . So I had about 3 rises from previous scores .So after that low .83 in 2018 I rose to 1.22 in April of 2019 , then 1.06 , then 1.20 and now 1.10 . A little roller coaster ride but not complaining . I knew going in that this could be expected with SBRT . Hopefully my nadir will be reached someday . I feel great , side effects were minimal at the start . Good to talk to you guys and gals again . What you're experiencing seems about right for your treatment. All appears to be well.

Looks good and glad to see you understand the bounce dynamics and are at ease. How are you doing with any negative treatment side effects?

Jim, My post PSA has been a little bouncy as well; just one of the smaller negatives of RT. There’s data to suggest those experiencing some bounces or have a long slow decline do better in the long term. SBRT is an amazing treatment and Dr. Hirsch is among the best practitioners. If she’s happy so should you be. Wishing you continued low numbers.

How did I miss this, John? I'd say these results look wonderful - right on track. I spoke with/saw Dr. Hirsch last week about my own slow and bumpy PSA decline, and we are happy, too.

May you continue slowly downward PSA readings for a long time, my friend.

It's obvious that your radiation treatments have sent your PSA values DOWNWARD. Nothin' better than that!
