So, after reading Halberts recent post about his annual physical and blood pressure, I have a question about White Blood Cell Count and Lupron. Had my annual physical last week and all the routine blood work. Well, White Blood Cell count is low. How low, only a little. The bottom of the normal range is 4.00 and mine came back 3.95. Just a note, that this is my first routine blood work since I've been on then off of Lupron. I researched a little and found that Lupron can indeed affect your white blood cell count. But, I've been off Lupron now for 6 months (I was on for 6 months). I'm wondering if any of the HW brothers had this experience. Can I still have some lingering affects? My T is back to it's old low self and my hot flashes are gone. I am also on Lisinopril (BP) and a Statin.
My GP wasn't totally swayed by the Lupron argument I presented, and ordered a slew of other Blood tests (vitamin deficiency, hepatitis, etc.). Also ordered a ultrasound of the Liver......wonderful. Anyway, all tests are done and I have a virtual with my GP next week. He tells me if these tests don't show anything, I'm off to a hematologist.
Hoping for the best.
Stay safe.
