Left Brigham and WOmen's Yesterday.

Off all cancer treatment drugs, except long lasting Lupron Side Effects.

Looks like GI issues got straighten out. The Medical team at BWH and DFCI really focused and I have my appetite and thirst back 100%. Kudos.

The rehab center is a mile from home, but not taking visitors due to COVID restrictions. Good with that.

Undergoing Physical and Occupation THerapy. It has not been 24 hours and I am very pleased with quality of care, etc.

Meals - Hearty and good.
Legs weak, especially left thigh. Working on that. On of the PTs hypothesis it is PC related. Have to get in in my head I am not 55 any more, been fighting crmPCA for over 7 years and lower expectations.

On medical leave and short term disability for a while.

Plan - Get some strengh back. Examine QoL issues and decide treatment path. Wont be until after the holiday, I am feeling pretty good, and hope and have faith in the process.

THanks for all the support. All my PC warriors have a great holiday. I am always thinking and praying for you.

That's a powerful personal mantra, as the holidays approach, and as we look ahead to setting goals for the NEW YEAR ahead.

Day 4 of rehab.

Eating and drinking are going well. THe food here is actually pretty good. My GI issues appear to getting better. Passing, with no violent diarrhea. It feels good not to be worried about that end 24/7. Nausea gone.

Some pain in the mets in my back. All little pain relief takes care of it.

The flow max works most of the day except for early morning. SO I am up and down with to bathroom and also filling the plastic bottle. So much so that if is tiring out my thighs a bit and have some resulting fatigue in mid / late morning.
Seeing some progress, but still have to deal with the 2 steps forward one step back model. Finally realized I will never be the same guy I was. But the new me can still have Quality in his live.

COVID in Mass No visitors, but I am on the first floor and my wife visits and we see
each other through the window. It helps. Merry CHristmas

You are forging ahead, one step at a time.

I am thankful to hear that some of your side effects are lessening. I am also thankful that you are finding ways to overcome hurdles that you are encountering.

Your tenacity is inspiring.

You have been in my thoughts, and I an sending you all my encouragement and support. I am thankful for the family "window visits" ... very meaningful.

Keep that fire lit, within you --- that steely inner resolve.

I will watch for your future posts --- here's hoping your physical therapy will pay valuable dividends!

After two weeks in Rehab, back at BWH with blood in urine. Liquids and two bags of blood. waiting for uro. keep you posted.

Have been thinking of you, hoping you are forging ahead, one day at a time.

I am sorry to hear you are in the hospital. It sounds like you had a blood transfusion awaiting you. I hope that went well.

Hopefully, your medical team is rallying around you, providing you with answers and excellent care.

Please know others are thinking of you, mindful of your situation, and sending you encouragement and support.

I am keeping you in my thoughts, each day, and will watch for your next update.

Glad you are out of the hospital, KMCLARK1 ---- hope you are powering through at the rehabilitation center.

My dad and I both participate in 5-K distance events for cancer awareness.

Dad stands alongside all of us here as a fellow prostate cancer patient.

He gave me a t-shirt, from one of the recent 5-K events.

The event t-shirt is emblazoned with these words, which carry great meaning for me --- I share these same words with you today:

"We are the COURAGEOUS ...
We are the PASSIONATE ...
We are the DETERMINED ...
WE ARE HOPE."
