My Cancer has metastasis to my lymph nodes so Oncologist put me on Lupron and a little over a month ago added Xtandi well my PSA went from 68.9 to 50.1, but I am so fatigued all I want to do is lay on the couch. Then I got the first Covid shot and it knocked me out very weak, no appetite,
It is getting better now since it has been 5 days. Was wondering if anyone else had this reaction.
My doctor said it is because of the Lupron and Xtandi but that it is safe to take. Does anyone know of anything that helps with fatigue from these drugs. I cannot take any of the drinks with caffeine because I had open heart surgery in August.

Are you going to radiate pelvic area? I got my first shot, Arm was sore. Try exercising more.

I did have radiation in the pelvis and that area so far is good but the lymph nodes are what
Is effected now and they said they cannot due radiation on that area because it is too close
To the aorta.

Jerry - do you mean lymph nodes in other parts of the body other than near the prostate?

Got my first covid shot 5 days ago and no problems. On HT and Xgeva. Bone mets and one lymph node that has mostly resolved, shrunk.

My husband walks at least 10 miles a day to ward off fatigue. (it's 20 degrees here at the moment)
Try downloading podcasts or music that you enjoy.

#1 thing for fatigue is exercise. You fight fatigue through strength. If you can do cardio at the gym along with light weights that is the best. If you have issues with things there is always walking. If you don't move you rot. There are mornings when I can't get out of bed. It is ok to take a day off from a big workout. But I still try to walk. Next day I am back in the gym. My best days are when are have a good workout.
