Hi All,
Brief history. I am a healthy (no diabetes, smoking or prostate surgery/issues) 60yo guy who has had ED of worsening degrees for 20 years. Initially PDE5-inhibitors worked for the most part but I required higher and higher doses over time. They worked about 80% of the time. I graduated to Tri/Quad mix injections which had worked about 6 years but abruptly stopped working over the past few months. I have developed bilateral corporal fibrosis, likely from the injections and possibly exacerbated by Gaines Wave and PRP treatment.
I am at the end of the line and have not/could not have sex for the past 3 months. I have seen 5 different Urologist regarding my issue. All say the same thing, time for a prosthesis. I can't believe that this is my only option but it is what it is. I never thought I would have to be faced with pumping up my penis so as to Rise to the occasion. This is both embarrassing and depressing. The alternative, no reasonable erections at all, is by far worse. One surgeon is a huge proponent of the Coloplast Titan implant. Apparently they have the largest cylinders (21mm vs 18mm for the AMS) and better axial rigidity. Being that I am a fan of vaginal and anal intercourse, he strongly suggested the Coloplast implant. I am decidedly above average in size and hope to regain what was lost as a result of the ED and, now, the fibrosis and PD. Anyone have any experience with fibrosis and a prosthesis? Anyone see a regain in their size over time with a prosthesis?
I need some words of wisdom and encouragement from the community and those living with a prosthesis.
Thanking any/all of you in advance.
